Patti, It has been a few years since I/we have seen you and Jenna at dance classes since we changed schools. I will never forget our short “conversations” that Jenna was always willing to help translate with a smile. My heart goes out to you, Jenna’s grandmother, and her extended family and friends. I knew Jenna from rec soccer and she was just a cool person to know. I once caught her teaching the younger players how to hide their jewelry from the referees- she just gave me fiendish smile. Another time, the girls convinced coach to skip practice and go to Moe’s- Jenna was on board and drove the other players, including my daughter. She was completely honest on the field; she asked to be put in when she wanted to play, let her players know what they should be doing and came out when she needed a break. At one game, one of her teammates fell after scoring. We all thought it was an injury- a knee or ankle; but the player didn’t cry or get up; she was having a seizure. Jenna ran out, instructed me on how to help and kept us coaches calm when we had not had this experience and were feeling really helpless. We were so impressed by how great she was in that moment, we created a good Samaratin award, with Jenna being the first recipient. I will always think of Jenna this way.
I was Jenna’s hairstylist for the past 3yrs . We had a lot of funny and great conversations . I always looked forward to her coming in .I’m gonna miss her so much!
I am so sorry for your loss..she was such an amazing beautiful young girl.
