Vivian Leah Schenke Cohen passed away on December 22, 2022 in Boca Raton, Florida. Vivian was born on November 8, 1932 in White Plains, New York to Martin and Sonia Schenke. Vivian was also predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Peter Gasman, brother Nathan Schenke, infant son Martin, brother-in-law Melvin Cohen, and loving partner of 16 years, Leon N. She was an active member of the Board of Directors at Congregation Brothers of Israel in Trenton, NJ, where she was also voted Woman of the Year by her Sisterhood. She volunteered for organizations such as Boy and Girl Scouts of America, Hadassah, Delray Community Hospital, Greenwood House Nursing Home, and many more.

Vivian is survived by her loving children Howard (Janet) Cohen of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, David (Laurie) Cohen of Pacific Palisades, California, Michelle (Todd) Wolff of Boca Raton, Florida, and Jeffrey (Dana) Cohen of Delray Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren who she adored, Lauren (Zach) Cohen Appelbaum, Shelly (Matt) Brodsky, Hannah Cohen; Ariel (Adam), Jeremy, Daniella, and Jordan Cohen; Jenna and Brett Wolff; Natalie and Daniel Cohen; plus many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 26 at 1:30 pm at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Rd., Ewing Township, NJ. The family strongly recommends wearing a mask at the indoor service. The service can be viewed at the Zoom link below. Burial will follow at Brothers of Israel Cemetery on Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ.
