Carl Blumberg

Carl M. Blumberg, of Hamilton Township, NJ, passed away on October 4, 2022 at the age of 82.

Born on December 1, 1939 to Dr. A. William and Susan Blumberg, he grew up on Pennington Avenue in Trenton, New Jersey and later moved to Hamilton Township in 1968. He was a graduate of Trenton High School and the Pennsylvania State College of Optometry.

Carl was a practicing optometrist in the Trenton area for many years. Following his retirement he remained active by continuing to work part time at Foley’s Family Market. He enjoyed spending time with family & his many longtime friends. While at home he enjoyed cooking & watching sports especially football, ice hockey and NASCAR.

Carl is survived by Judith Blumberg, two daughters: Stephanie Berns and her husband Andrew of Randolph, NJ, and Jennifer Rubin and her husband David of Huntingdon Valley, PA, his five grandchildren: Jessica and Max Berns, and Jake, Sydney and Reese Rubin, and a brother: Joel Blumberg and his wife Ilona of Largo, FL.

A private memorial service/celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to the home of Jennifer and David Rubin on Sunday October 9 from 1pm – 5pm. Memorial Contributions may be made to Greenwood House (GreenwoodHouse.org) or to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel.

    So sorry to hear about Carl. Our son Bill is named for his Dad. Our families were close friends for a lifetime.
