Peter Talevi

Peter Talevi, age 72, of Ewing, NJ, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Capital Health System Fuld due to complications from the coronavirus.

Peter was a lifelong resident of the Trenton area. He was an engineer in the maintenance department at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital.

Peter served in the U.S Army for 3 years (1967-1969) and was a veteran of the Vietnam War from January 1968 through January 1969. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. His sister remembers him this way:

He was a real free spirit

And at least, did as he pleased

I admire those who find their true spirit

and follow their dreams.

 

Peter lived by the motto “He who dies with the most toys wins.” In that spirit, he leaves behind enough hunting gear for eight people.

 

Predeceased by his parents, Peter Talevi and Irma Smith Reis, sisters Louise Lowery and Irma Bacskay, and nephew Ronald Lowery.

He is survived by two sons, Peter Talevi and Dennis Talevi, four sisters, Gena Garzillo and husband James of Hamilton, NJ, Arlene Nichols of Burlington, NJ, Robin Clugsten Hancock and husband Mark of Kingstree, SC, Joan Connor Amber and husband John, nephews and nieces J.T. Garzillo and Jenna Liebmann of Newtown, PA, Gary Crutchley of Burlington, NJ, Veronica Lowery of Las Vegas, NV, Christine and Angel Colon of Largo, FL, Eugene Clugsten and Lauren Palmer of Hamilton, NJ, David and Joanne Clugsten of Cumming, GA, Danielle and Adam Olesik of Philadelphia, PA, Sarah and John DelRicci of Philadelphia, PA, Stephanie Bacskay and Jim Runyon of Florence, NJ, Alyssa Connor of Stuart, FL.  And many great nieces and nephews.

Due to current health restrictions, services are private with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Township, NJ.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

    I will miss you very much! You are my best Friend and big Brother to me of 46 yrs. We traveled the US Hunting together, We went to Maine Hunting 7 years in a row.

    Even though i was 8 years younger then you guys , You took me in as part of the group. I have lots of awesome memories and photos of our trips, I will Miss You So Much!!!!!
