Edward R. Bernstein, age 82, of Cherry Hill, passed away early June 28,2020.
He was born in Trenton and graduated from Trenton Central High School. A graduate of St. Francis College, he attended Temple University Graduate School
Edward was a quality control manager and chemist for several pharmaceutical companies.
He was a resident of Cherry Hill for 40 years, and was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel. Family was most important in his life.
Edward is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sybil Bernstein (nee Friedlander), three children, Laurie Ann Sherby (Eric), Louis (Patricia) Bernstein, and Debra Gardner (Mark), six grandchildren Yael Hurwitz (Mordechai), Amram Sherby ( Shira), Ronit Schwell (Gidon) and Moriah Sherby, all of Israel, and Sofia Gardner and Jayna Gardner, of Voorhees, NJ, as well as four great grandchildren. He is also survived by a very special niece Merril Bernstein and several nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Freda (Levin) Bernstein, a brother Dr. Gerald Bernstein, and a daughter-in-law Alison Albert Bernstein.
Funeral services and burial are 11:00 am Monday, June 29 at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Congregation Adath Israel section, in Ewing Township, NJ.
Memorial contributions are respectfully requested to Congregation Sons of Israel in Cherry Hill, NJ, or the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
