PRINCETON… Gary Rothberg, 65, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019. Beloved son of the late William (Billy) and Doris.
Born in Queens, NY, he grew up there and later in Livingston, NJ. A graduate of Syracuse University, Gary was an architect who was career focused and proud of his work.
He was especially proud of his work as Director of Overseas Operations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He went on to enjoy an eventful career at the Hertz Corporation, and later at Dunkin’ Donuts, where he designed many of the stores throughout New Jersey. More recently he designed for Travelex.
A world traveler and a food lover, Gary treasured spending holidays with his family and friends.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Marti Rothberg.
Funeral services and burial are Sunday, February 3, at 12:45 PM at Washington Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, South Brunswick, NJ. The period of mourning will be 2:30pm the day of the service at The Jewish Center, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. Memorial contributions are respectfully requested to The American Cancer Society, or to The Jewish Center.
