YARDLEY, PA….Gloria Levy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend died peacefully at her residence on December 2, 2018 at age 94.
Born in New York and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Gloria was the wife of Monroe Levy, a prominent Trenton attorney who predeceased her. She is survived by her sons Robert Levy and his wife Deborah Gnatt, Arthur Levy and his wife Paula, Grandchildren Rebecca Mora and Justin Newman, Anna Levy and her soon to be husband Jesse Rentz, Abigail Levy, Amanda Levy and Allison Levy, and her sister Simone Chung. She was delighted to become a great-grandmother to Eva Newman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Gloria was a graduate of Trenton High School and subsequently worked with her father, Irving Mines who owned the General Plating Company in Trenton New Jersey. After marrying the love of her life, Monroe, she devoted her life to her family, whom she loved dearly. They fondly remember her volunteering in their schools and other activities. She was a talented interior designer. Long after the passing of Monroe she again experienced love with and marriage to the late Arthur Jacobs who unfortunately passed shortly after their marriage.
Gloria had been an active member of Adath Israel Congregation, where her dedication of time and effort was well known to the congregants and beyond. She loved reading about and discussing current events and politics about which she formed strong opinions. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral services are Wednesday 10am, December 5 at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The period of mourning will be observed Wednesday at the residence of Robert Levy and Thursday at the residence of Rebecca Mora Levy.
