PRINCETON JUNCTION… Arthur Miller, 87, passed away in Princeton on April 22, 2017.

He was born in Manhattan on April 3, 1930 to Joseph and Mary Miller and raised in Brooklyn. After graduating high school, Arthur attended college at the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and graduate school at Caltech before completing postdoctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He spent his career working at RCA Laboraties in Princeton.

Arthur married his wife, Arlene, in 1961. He was a loving and devoted father to his three children, Michael (Sarah) Miller, Neil (Jill) Miller, and Adrienne (Matthew) Drinkwater, and grandfather to Marshall, Laura and Chana.

Arthur had a great sense of humor and was known for his jokes and wit. He loved folk music, and along with his wife Arlene, was very involved in the Princeton Folk Music Society. For many years, he lent his tenor voice to LaShir, the Jewish Choir of Princeton. Arthur will be remembered for his beautiful soul, for his loving kindness both to family and community, for his generous spirit, and for his strength of character.

Funeral services are 11 AM Monday (April 24) at the Jewish Center, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton. A meal of consolation will immediately follow the service. Burial is at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus. The period of mourning will be observed at the Miller residence Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Fox Chase Cancer Center, or a cancer charity of the donor’s choice.
