William L Newmark of Monroe Township New Jersey passed away on October 4 at the age of 85. He spent the majority of his childhood in Newark and had very fond memories of Weequahic High School.
Bill spent most of his career as a computer programmer/analyst. His major interests included sports and poker. He was a past president of Westfield, B’nai Brith. Bill enjoyed a long and fruitful association with Summit toastmasters. Bill volunteered with the “I have a dream” program from Its inception with first graders until high school graduation. He especially enjoyed tutoring mathematics. Bill will be remembered for his wry sense of humor.
William is survived by his devoted wife, Vivian.
The funeral will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 7 at Congregation Beth Chaim, 329 Village Rd. E., Princeton Junction 08550. Shiva minyan will be held at the family home on Monday, October 7, Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9 at 7 PM.
